1. Who we are

This website ("Garagem RS") is a personal blog about classic cars and the restoration of a 1980 Camaro RS. This page explains what data we collect from people who sign up or browse the site, and how we use cookies.

2. Data we collect

When you create an account, we collect:

  • E-mail and password (the password is stored encrypted, never in plain text)
  • Username and display name
  • Content you publish yourself: calendar events, uploaded banners, posts and photos (for those allowed to publish)
  • City and state (optional) and the cars you register in Garagens do Brasil, with their photos

Location: we never ask for or show your home address or coordinates. Cars are shown only with city and state, and the map uses a representative point of the city. Your e-mail is never public, and you can hide your name on your cars' pages in “My account”.

People who only browse the site, without signing up, have no personal data collected.

3. Cookies

We only use strictly functional cookies:

  • Login session cookie — keeps you signed in while you browse, so you don't have to type your password on every page.
  • Calendar preference cookie — remembers the last Brazilian state you selected in the events calendar, so it opens on that state on your next visit.
  • Language cookie — remembers whether you prefer the site in Portuguese or English, when you choose a language.

We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. When the site is installed as an app (PWA), the browser only stores public files (styles, scripts and public images) to load faster — no page with your account data is stored.

4. Where the data is stored

Data is kept in a database managed by Supabase, and the site is hosted on Vercel. These companies act as data processors, following this site's instructions. Texts published on the site may be sent to DeepL to produce the automatic English version.

5. Your rights

Under the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD), you may at any time:

  • Request access to your data
  • Correct inaccurate data (by editing your profile)
  • Request deletion of your account and your data
  • Withdraw your consent at any time
